Here is the Response I got from the Trooper's Coalition.  What a laugh.. they must not even read the EMAILs before responding.  Wonder if they read the contract with their solicitation company?

Thank you for your support. OTC does a lot good for the community. It is unfortunate this happened. We appreciate people like yourself who understand. Thank you for your kind words.

Subject: Charity Solicitations

I was very disappointed that the Ohio Trooper's Coalition chooses to use a fund raising method that diverts most of the money collected to the organization that conducts the solicitation rather then to the good deeds they purport to support.

I was particularly disturbed in the posted message regarding the lawsuit filed from your president. His focus is on whether the law was broken.

Did anyone consider that regardless, a fundraising process that enriches the organization far more then the supported charities is repugnant to most individuals who might choose to contribute.

Many years ago, I was a contributor to your organization. I stopped as soon as I realized you were using a professional fundraising organization.

Unfortunately, many incur costs so great when they use a fund raising organization that the final benefit to the charitable recipient is negligible compared to the benefit to the professional fundraising organization.

This is not a case of whether the law was broken only, it's a case of lending your good name to this type of practice which disparages those in your organization by your close association to a practice that saddens me !
