GENERAC 16K GENERATOR

Generator transfer box replaces 16 circuits in your home circuit breaker box.  Some devices such as Water Heater actually use 2 circuits so 16 is not as many as you think when you actually start selecting circuits.  You can imagine for the worst case scenario or just try to adjust to a situation where power is out for a short period of time. Your Air Conditioner (A/C) will probably draw the most power at one time.  Motor driven devices draw a HUGE startup surge of power.  MB means Master Bedroom in the chart below.  Also, you soon learn how poorly your circuit breaker box is labeled.  For example, I have 4 bedrooms in my house, but only 2 bedrooms are identified in the box.  The installer said if I would identify the circuits before he arrived, it would save 2 hours.  He was right since it took that long for me to do it.  I literally, turned on all the lights and/or operated different electrical items to make sure I understood which ones worked.  I turned off the circuits that would not be wired to the generator transfer box to make sure I was satisfied with my selection.  This included doing the same thing after dark to make sure I understood what lights were affected in my house.
