UPDATED PICTURE OF THE TRANSFER BOX.  IN CASE YOU DO NOT KNOW, THIS PREVENTS ELECTRICITY FROM GENERATOR FROM BACKFLOWING INTO THE ELECTRICAL LINE AND ELECTROCUTING WORKERS AS THEY REPAIR THE OUTDOOR ELECTRIC LINES.  WHEN ELECTRIC SERVICE GOES DOWN, THE SWTICHES ARE THROWN ISOLATING THESE CIRCUITS FROM THE OUTDOOR SERVICE LINE - SAFELY REVERSES WHEN ELECTRIC SERVICE IS RESTORED.

I converted to natural gas from propane AFTER the generator was installed.  I also switched from well water to the Village water supply.  This freed up circuits for additional uses.  Circuits 1 & 3 were originally for an electric water heater (240 volts) and I switched to a gas water heater.  I now have power to my 2nd garage and additional outlets in the living room.  Circuits 5 & 7 were for my well pump (240 volts).  I added the basement lights and the rest of the upstairs bedrooms to those circuits since the pump is no longer needed.
